Whether you’re an au pair, a host family, or a user exploring temporary housing or community features, this Policy applies to your use of the PerfectConnect services (the “Services”). It does not apply to third-party websites, services, or applications we do not control—even if they are linked to or integrated into our Platform.

  • “PerfectConnect,” “we,” “us,” or “our” refers to PerfectConnect, Inc.
  • “You” or “User” refers to anyone accessing or using our Platform or Services.
  • If you're using features like PairConnect, PairHaven, or PairLink, this Policy applies to the information shared in each part of your journey with us.

By using our Platform or Services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our Services.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information in several ways to provide you with the best possible experience on PerfectConnect. This includes data you provide directly, data we collect automatically, and data from third-party integrations.

A. Information You Provide Directly

When you use PerfectConnect, you may provide us with the following information:

  • Account & Profile Info (for Matching and Housing): Name, last name, email address, phone number, gender, age, language(s) spoken, nationality, occupation (host family), relation to child(ren), residential location (zip code for host families), zip code and country (for au pairs), agency name (if applicable), agency ID number (if applicable), and profile photos.
  • Child(ren) Information (host family only): Child’s name, last name, age, date of birth, any special needs or behavioral considerations, allergies, or medical conditions.
  • Communication & Messages: Content you send or receive through in-app messaging or chat features.
  • Support & Feedback: Information you submit through support tickets, surveys, or feedback forms.

B. Information We Collect Automatically

When you access or use the Platform, we automatically collect certain information about your device and activity to help us improve functionality and user experience:

  • Device & Log Data: This includes your IP address, device type, browser type, operating system, and app version.
  • Usage Data: We collect data on how you interact with our app and website—such as features used, matches made, time spent, pages visited, and buttons clicked. This helps us understand trends, improve our services, and enhance the overall user experience.
  • Location Information: If you enable location services, we may collect approximate or precise location data to assist with matching and temporary housing suggestions..

C. Information from Third Parties

We may receive information about you from third-party sources when you choose to integrate or sign in using other platforms. This may include:

  • Social Login Providers: If you choose to sign in with Google or another provider, we may collect your name, email address, profile picture, and other basic profile data shared by that provider.
  • Referral or Affiliate Links: If you join PerfectConnect through a referral or affiliate program, we may receive metadata or user ID tracking to credit the referring party.
  • Service Integrations: If you use connected services (e.g., Stripe for payments or Mailchimp for email preferences), we may receive relevant account or interaction data to enable those services.
  • Marketing & Advertising Partners: We may work with third-party ad networks, analytics services, or data partners to help us understand usage trends, deliver ads, and improve our marketing efforts. These partners may use cookies or similar technologies to collect limited information about your device or interaction with our app.

  • To Operate the Platform: Enable core features such as account creation, matching, messaging, housing listings, and profile visibility.
  • To Match Users: Use preferences, location, and profile details to suggest compatible au pairs or host families through PairConnect, and to recommend available housing options through PairHaven.
  • To Communicate with You: Send notifications, confirmations, service updates, account alerts, and respond to inquiries or support requests.
    We may also send push notifications to alert you of new matches, messages, housing availability, or important account updates.
    By creating an account or subscribing to updates, you consent to receive both servicerelated and occasional promotional communications. You can manage notification preferences in your device settings or unsubscribe from marketing messages at any time.
  • To Improve Our Services: Analyze usage trends, troubleshoot problems, monitor activity patterns, and develop new features.
  • To Personalize Your Experience: Customize your dashboard, show relevant suggestions or content, and tailor communications based on your preferences and usage. We may use behavioral patterns, activity history, and profile inputs to personalize content, suggest matches, and improve user experience through automated decision-making systems (either now or in future updates).
  • To support community and learning features: If you use PairSocials or participate in PairBloom workshops or blog discussions, we may collect and store the content you post, including comments, feedback, and submitted materials. This allows us to moderate content, improve the experience, and provide relevant updates or recommendations based on your activity.
  • To Ensure Safety & Integrity: Monitor activity to detect fraud, prevent abuse, enforce community standards, investigate reports, and protect users.
  • For Marketing & Promotions (with consent): With your permission, we may use your email or phone number to send updates, offers, in-app notifications or promotional content. We may also use testimonials, personal stories, photos, or videos you submit—or allow us to collect—for marketing purposes, including social media, our website, or ads. You can opt out at any time.
  • To Comply with Legal Obligations: Fulfill tax, legal, or regulatory requirements and cooperate with lawful requests from authorities.
  • Marketing & Promotions: With your permission, we may use testimonials, personal stories, photos, or videos you submit or allow us to collect for marketing and promotional purposes, including social media, website content, and advertising.

F. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We only share information in the ways described below, and only when necessary to operate our platform, comply with legal requirements, or with your consent:

  • With Other Users: Information from your profile (e.g., name, location, preferences, bio, and photos) is shared with other users based on your selected visibility settings to enable matching and communication. You may have the ability to manage which parts of your profile are visible to others, including limiting visibility of specific details. However, some information (such as your general location, language, or matching preferences) may be required for core platform functionality and cannot be hidden.
  • With Service Providers: We may share data with trusted third-party vendors (e.g., Stripe for payments, Firebase for analytics, or Mailchimp for emails) who help us deliver our services. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and use it only for the intended purposes.
  • For Legal Reasons: We may share information to comply with applicable laws or regulations, respond to lawful requests (e.g., court orders), protect our rights, or address fraud, safety, or security concerns.
  • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, asset sale, or bankruptcy, user information may be transferred to the acquiring party in accordance with applicable laws.

  • Right to Delete Your Account: You can delete your PerfectConnect account at any time from within the app under Settings > Account > Delete Account. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed from active systems unless retention is required for legal, tax, or fraud prevention purposes.

We retain your personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including:

  • Providing and maintaining your account
  • Complying with legal, tax, or reporting obligations
  • Resolving disputes and enforcing our terms

If you delete your account, we will remove or anonymize your personal information, unless retention is required by law or necessary for legitimate business interests (e.g., fraud prevention or dispute resolution)

PerfectConnect is intended for use only by individuals who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect or allow personal information from anyone under the age of 18.
If we become aware that someone under 18 has created an account or submitted personal data, we will take immediate steps to delete the account and remove their information from our systems.

M. Sensitive Information

In limited cases, we may collect optional sensitive information (such as your religious preference) to better match you with compatible host families or au pairs. This data is only used for internal matching purposes and is never shared publicly. Providing this information is entirely optional, and you may choose to skip any such questions.

N. User Content in PairSocials and PairBloom

When you post, comment, or participate in community features like PairSocials (our group forum and blog) or PairBloom (our workshop and learning hub), the content you share may be visible to other users depending on the platform settings.

  • You are responsible for the information you choose to share in public or semi-public areas.
  • Posts may include written content, poll responses, questions, or contributions submitted in connection with learning materials or discussions.
  • While we moderate content for community safety, we do not guarantee that your posts will remain private unless specified.
  • We may retain or analyze this content to improve platform safety, guide content suggestions, and enhance the learning experience.

Content submitted for PairSocials, PairBloom, or marketing purposes (including testimonials) may be retained even after account deletion, unless you submit a specific removal request. We will honor such requests where feasible and legally permitted. If you wish to remove a comment or submission, please visit our Contact Page or use the in-app reporting tools where available

O. Community Safety, Moderation, and Reporting

To maintain a safe and respectful environment within PairSocials and PairBloom, we monitor community content and may take action when needed:

  • Moderation: We reserve the right to review, edit, or remove any content that violates our Community Guidelines, Terms of Use, or is reported by other users.
  • Reporting Tools: Users can flag content or profiles they believe are inappropriate, unsafe, or violate our standards. Reports are reviewed by our team.
  • Blocking: Users may be able to block others to prevent unwanted communication or interactions.
  • Investigation: In some cases, we may temporarily restrict accounts or escalate reports for further review.
  • Abuse Prevention: We may store reports and investigation outcomes to detect repeated violations or protect our users.

R. App Permissions and Mobile Platform Disclosures

When you use the PerfectConnect mobile app, we may request access to certain features on your device to provide core functionality:

  • Push Notifications – To alert you of new matches, messages, and housing updates.
  • Media Access – To allow you to upload profile photos or video content.
  • Device and App Info – Such as device type, operating system, and app version, for security and troubleshooting.

We do not access your contacts, camera, or microphone unless explicitly requested and approved by you. All permissions can be managed through your device settings.

S. In-App Purchases and Billing

If you make purchases within the PerfectConnect mobile app (such as purchasing credits to unlock features), your transaction will be securely processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, depending on your device.
